Ownage Cup 2
After the successful first edition of the Ownage Cup in January 2024, we are starting the second edition in November. This time, there will be 5 new maps in the tournament, with 2 maps being voted into the pool during signup.

Rules
Signup
Ownage is open for all European QuakeWorld players. However, non-European players are free to sign up as long as they play their matches in Europe. Players with multiple registration entries will be disqualified.

Best-Of-Seven
First pick will be decided by /rnd player1 player2. Then the players take turns picking maps until the first player has won 4 maps. Every map can only be played once.
Grand Final
The player from the Lower Bracket needs to win 2x Bo7, while the player from the Winner Bracket only needs to win 1x Bo7 to win the entire tournament.
Reporting
The winner of the match reports the results as soon as possible using the Quake.world Discord Channel.
Servers
Since there are players representing many different nations in Ownage, be prepared to play with higher ping than you're used to. In general the game can be played on any server both players agree to play on. The Ownage Admins insist that the players' server choice is done with common sense and that pings are kept as low as possible.
Players from outside of Europe have to play on a European server.

If players still can't agree on a server, please contact admins about it.
Scheduling
All matches have a deadline. If players can't organize themselves to get their game played and reported by the end of the deadline, WO will be given to the player that tried more actively to make the match happen. To that end, it's best if you try to schedule your match in the official Ownage channel on the QuakeWorld Discord.
In order to guarantee some coverage of the bigger games, the schedules for Top 8 matches have to be arranged with an admin.
Tournament system
Ownage uses a double elimination bracket with the initial seeding into the winners bracket done manually by the admins to their best knowledge. Players who lose their winners bracket game are knocked down into the losers bracket and get one more chance to play.
