On a gloomy rainy morning of May 13, 2001, in Moscow, at ul. Marshal Biryuzov, 3, the QuakeWorld duel championship began in the club "Baya" aka "the 1st official duel championship of Moscow"
Not only the strongest Moscow players came to the championship, but also QW "dads" from other cities: St. Petersburg and Voronezh. It is sad, of course, that "dads" from Pereslavl and Bryansk could not come to the championship. The former had a hangover, and the latter had to defend their diplomas and so on. In total, out of 40 registered for the championship, 21 played, although significantly more people came to watch, chat, and relax.
