Stroggopolis
History of stroggopolis: Stroggopolis is a 4v4 TDM map created by the mapper kwon. The idea for the map emerged in 2023 with the concept of creating a tournament that offers mappers the opportunity to create new maps and test them through a very short tournament format. This marked the birth of the blitzkrieg cup. Stroggopolis was the first map played in this format and received good acceptance from players. However, its very similar geometry led to significant orientation difficulties. For this reason, the mapper decided to design Stroggopolis in such a way that symbols and color-coded cues provide the player with the best possible orientation. The name stroggopolis derives from the stroggs, the antagonists from Quake2, and the DM map claustrophobopolis, also known as DM2.
