Contrary to popular belief, Soma is a QuakeWorld player from Luxembourg and not from Germany. He started playing QuakeWorld actively in 2003 and focussed on playing duels and FFA for the first year. Rapidly falling in love with the game's physics and the vast possibilities in the area of trick jumping, Soma released a somewhat popular trick jumping video titled Misusing Explosives within his first year of active playing.
After some duels in 2004, Rayden convinced Soma to give teamplay a chance and thus recruited him for German clan pOrn. After a semi-successful GEQL Season 1, Rayden disappeared and pOrn disbanded. Soon later however, Rotten decided to form a new team - Last Episode - and asked Soma to be part of the roster. Other than a few prac games and an inactive participation (only 1 official game played) of NQR Summercup 2004, then clan soon disbanded again when Rotten decided to part ways with Last Episode to join Be Evil. Soma then joined his first 'serious' clan when he decided to play with Smack that Ass, with whom he was able to win Division 5 of NQR Season 8, his first success in teamplay. When in 2006 however some key members of Smack that Ass, such as Massaka and drd, went inactive and the team hit a new low in terms of activity and performance, Soma decided to part ways Smack that Ass in order to start up a new team together with Flow and Cyrax, clan Dies Ater.

Trivia
- Has actually played QW for the first time at a lan in northern Luxembourg in 1997. However, a short-circuit rapidly led to the death of Soma's computer just a few hours after his arrival at the lan. On top of that, Soma got over 39° of fever the same evening and eventually had to be driven home by an older attendant of the lan. Soma never touched QW again until 2003 and never again visited a lan until 2006.
- Both his nick as well as his aliases have origins of personal interest.
- "Soma" is a drug prescribed by the government in the utopia/dystopia novel 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley.[1]
- "Żegota" was an underground organisation in Nazi occupied Poland from 1942-1945, offering aid to jews living in occupied areas.[2]
- "Vulture" comes from the song 'Eagles become Vultures' by hardcore punkrock band 'Converge'.[3]
