Xerial
After having played mostly Marathon on Mac, Xerial got a PC and discovered Quake in 1997, while reading the PC gamer issue that covered Quake SM '97. He played mostly on local LAN parties in Eskilstuna together with 
Ztorm and at that time recently transitioned RQ player Wretch, who was associated with Clan Tjack. As an HPW he made brief appearances in some clans sporadically and organized local LAN parties in Eskilstuna.
Gaining access to an ISDN connection 98/99, Xerial joined Da Imperial Executors and was taken under the wings of more senior player Scarym, who trained him to play proper 2on2 on DM6 and to leverage those skills on other maps. In 2000, Xerial participated in a small 16 man LAN named dunnolan arranged by Malo in Uppsala, where he teamed up with Nikita, Angua and Javve under the Spartacus flag. Although no official tournament was held, they had success against Swedish Chefs, Clan Dunno and began playing together online.
