Match report
E1M2
ARD: 165 - FU: 85
Map pick by Armageddon.
"This map was played on a russian server with both teams experiencing heavy bouts of packetloss. The Russians had a considerable advantage when it came to the latency though, having less than half the delay that the Finns had to put up with. Still ARD played strong, taking the quads and doing considerable damage." -Ego
DM3
ARD: 0 - FU: 150 (W.O. scores)
Map pick by Fraggers United.
"After playing in Russia, the Finns wanted ARD to play in Finland. So they did, and it worked pretty well the first minute or so, actually proving to be a quite neutral ground for the two teams. Then the REALLY heavy packetloss set in and ARD were stricken with imobillty and periods of 100% packetloss and such ... they gave up around mid-game and gave a WO for this level." -Ego
DM3
ARD: 90 - FU: 83
Tiebreaker.
"This was an interesting compromise that was struck. The only server where the two teams could play was the server in Russia. FU first refused, insisting that ARD's ping advantage was to great. The compromise was made, allowing the third and deciding game to be played as a DM3-game instead of a DM2, and ARD agreed to add artificial lag on two of it's players who were using Qizmo. The Russians still had the latency on their side, but they were also hampered by the usual russian-packetloss that we have been seeing so much of the last few weeks. The match got underway and it was clearly going to be intense. Now the Finns suffered their last piece of bad luck ... with one of their members, L, timing out under considerable periods of the game, leaving them with a three man team on many occasions. I guess life is a bitch sometimes.
GG to ARD and FU, finishing a match like this despite difficult conditions!" -Ego
