My first match as Villains-admin I watched DM3 between CAPS and GLX. After long search for a good server, we finally settled on a server (ToT, ed.) where everything seemed ok. But as it turned out, the choice wasn't very lucky as immediately after the match begun the server started having severe pl-attacks. Despite the server-admin being online it didn't get better the whole 20 minutes, as you may see on the screenshot. The match was nevertheless very interesting. But some spectator (I think from GLX) got the best of me saying that someone else would do a matchreport. I didn't recognize the name as a hoax so I didn't record a demo, so I don't have much to report of this match :/

Now on a new server, a few spectators were quite sure the match is already decided for CAPS. I thought so as well after the convincing performance in DM3, but even the first minute proved me wrong. GLX got a good start, the first quad and the first rl. GLX couldn't get hold of the complete map, but they were +28 frags up after 5 minutes. The following 6 minutes nobody really got control, both teams got some quads and managed some frags, but GLX kept the lead with about 30 frags. The next few minutes however GLX got control over the YA/water area and cranked up their lead to 98 frags. I was still surprised that GLX managed to lead at all after having seen the DM3-match before, but with 4 minutes left the tide turned again, this time in CAPS's favour. They got the last 4 quads and in the last minute the had almost complete control over the map. In a race against the clock CAPS fragged away like mad, but being expertly fought by GLX they didn't manage to close the gap fast enough and were still 51 frags behind as the timer counted down the last seconds.

Now everything was open again and everybody was tense, who would manage to win the decisive map. As expected with such good teams neither was getting control over the map in the first few minutes. CAPS first had the lead with up to 11 frags, but then it changed back to GLX, both teams getting quads and neither controlling an area definitely. However with 11 minutes to go Circle got his foot into YA and CAPS got control over YA/GL, despite supa getting two quads. With 8 minutes to go CAPS had the lead with 62 frags, but now GLX got the upper hand again. CAPS sensing victory took to playing defensively and managed to hold the lead with about 60 frags despite GLX getting three quads and controlling GL/YA. Then with 5 minutes left Circle grabbed a quad and cleared the GL/YA area. The last minutes of the game were dominated by CAPS and with getting the last quads they managed a comfortable win with +111 frags.
